Do you want to make money with your vehicle on a flexible schedule? Driving with a delivery app might be right for you. Delivery is one of the hottest gigs right now because the delivery apps need more and more drivers to keep up with huge customer demand.
Requirements for these gigs are straightforward, the sign up process can be fast, and the gig is perfect if you need a flexible side income.
1. Uber Eats
Uber Eats is an on-demand food delivery app. Customers use Uber Eats to order from local restaurants and stores, and delivery people pick up and deliver the orders.
The Uber Eats app offers flexible gig opportunities so that you can deliver on your own schedule. The app makes it stress-free and easy to find delivery requests, and you can cashout your earnings daily with Instant Pay.
To deliver with Uber Eats you’ll need to meet the minimum age requirement for your city, which is 19 years old in most cities. You’ll need access to a vehicle, and you will also need to complete the background check process.
2. DoorDash
DoorDash is also an on-demand food delivery app. Delivery drivers use the DoorDash app to pick up and deliver orders to customers.
DoorDash drivers can expect to earn in the $10 – $18 per hour range.
Requirements to drive for DoorDash are pretty easy: You must be 18 or older, you can use any vehicle, and after you pass a free background check you’ll have to complete a brief orientation.
3. Instacart
Instacart is a grocery delivery service. As an Instacart shopper, you will visit stores to pick out items, purchase them with an Instacart payment card, then deliver the order to the customer.
As a shopper, you will be paid for each order batch you complete. Batch payments are determined by estimated time, miles, and complexity of the order. Shoppers keep 100% of tips.
One nice thing about Instacart is that you will see the total estimated payout – including the tip – up front before you accept the order. So you’ll be tell right away which orders are high paying. Instacart shoppers can expect to earn between $12 – $22/hour.
The requirements to drive for Instacart aren’t too demanding: You only have to be 18 or older with a clean driving record, and access to a vehicle.
4. Shipt
Shipt is another grocery delivery app. Shipt drivers go to stores to shop for orders, then deliver the order to a customer. It’s similar to Instacart.
With Shipt, you are paid for each order you complete. Payouts range from $6 – $35, and you can expect to make around $15 per hour on average.
Shipt has easy requirements, and they accept drivers 18 or older. You will also have to undergo a free background check.
